S.K. Wong known to his friends as Sui, is an actor from Brooklyn, New York. He was born in Hong Kong, China, lived in Freeport, Bahamas for ten months when he was seven and then finally moved to the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1986. That was when the young S.K. was exposed to the music and culture of Hip Hop in its Golden Era. In college, he became a DJ and was also an active participant in the Hip Hop culture. He was both a party and battle DJ. During his stay at SUNY Albany, he entered in a few local battles, and then later branched out to compete in the regional DMC competition in New York City and Boston. With natural progression as a DJ, he joined a Hip Hop group (Savataj Family Organization) to push further his love of Hip Hop. During his pursuit of a music career, he figured that in order to be a great showman and performer on stage, he would need to learn and develop his onstage persona. In the beginning of 2006, S.K. enrolled in an acting technique class to learn the fundamentals of acting. From then on, he realized this was his passion and true calling. He has been continuing to develop his craft, by taking up advanced acting classes, participating in student films, and independent productions. He was part of the apprenticeship program at the New Perspective Theatre Company in 2008. His first acting award was won in 2011 at the NYU’s First Run Film Festival for the thesis film, “Real Talk”. Currently he is residing in Los Angeles, CA to pursue his career in film and television productions.
